About GRNH!"It began as our project and ended up our passion." GRNH (GaGa) Team III Get Ready NH! (formerly Go Ahead, Get Ahead or GaGa for short)is a social marketing campaign “for students…by students” that was developed to encourage college readiness and enrollment. Between the time a freshmen class enters high school and that class's anticipated college graduation, 73 out of 100 students have bailed on their education. Of those 100 students, 25 won't even finish high school and out of the same 100, only 46 will go right on to college! Why? Do today's teenagers realize the benefits of a college education? Do they know there's a first in every family to go to college? Do they know there is financing available to most anyone? Do they know they will be healthier, more prosperous and will live longer? High School students whose high schools particpate in GRNH! do. "Go Ahead. Get Ahead." or GaGa was created in the spring of 2006 as part of a class project at the University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business. In 2008 the name was changed to Get Ready NH! Go to college & get ahead. The program consists of having a group of dedicated college students engage with high school students at the school and online to answer their questions and concerns about college, help breakdown the barriers they see to attending and encourage them to consider college. Studies have shown that high school students listen better to messages they hear from their peers. GRNH! street teams staffed with college students visit local high schools. The GRNH! Web site features interactive components further connecting college and high school students, in a safe and informative way. To learn more about the GRNH! Teams, please Hear Our Stories.
